HANG IT UP - TORONTO

We are a thousand miles from our longings
Pinning dreams on over twenty thousand street corners
With many bridges to cross over
We are the beat, a city in heat
Alive, diverse and strutting verse
We are new age digital microwave
satellite communicators
Fiber wave optics, print, radio
and Television originators

We are our peoples’ toil in this land
Our dreams alive in this land
A three million sided heart is this land
We are Toronto
          an experiment gone grand

An excerpt of Lily Allen's - Toronto

Not too long ago the team at Gum by the Door took a trip and discovered Toronto. A city full of vibrancy and life. In the second edition of Hang it up the team have captured moments throughout their North American trip once again using a disposable quick snap camera.

HANG IT UP - NYC PRIDE

Hang it up is a photography series where members of the Gum by the Door team have captured moments using a disposable quick snap camera.

The following series of photos were taken at The March and event hosted by NYC Pride.

"The March is an annual civil rights demonstration. Over the years, its purpose has broadened to include recognition of the fight against AIDS and to remember those we have lost to illness, violence and neglect. The March is a celebration of LGBTQ+ lives and their community. In 2017, they were joined by over 450+ unique marching contingents, representing a vast array of nonprofits, community organizations, corporate partners, small businesses, political candidates and activists! With over 110 floats making the trek down Fifth Avenue, last year’s March was one of the largest and most exciting in history. " - NYC Pride
